Monet's Garden

Last year I was lucky enough to visit Monet's Garden in Giverny France. It's a bit of a hassle to get there from Paris but well worth it.We caught a train from Paris to Vernon then a coach from Vernon to Giverny. There were plenty of others making the same trip which made it easier to know we were on the right track! The house and gardens have been restored although photography wasn't allowed in Monet's house. The walls were covered with Japanese prints obviously a big influence on his work and garden. They also seemed to inspire the colour schemes of each room.I remember the kitchen was painted a cheery shade of yellow.

His much loved and painted waterlily pond was the main attraction.
